Autopsychografia Eleméra Táboryego. Od literackiej interpretacji snów po psychomedyczną diagnozę nowoczesności

This article aims to analyze the first modernist novel by Hungarian writer Mihály Babits entitled Caliph Stork (The Nightmare). The author points multidirectional character of psychomedical knowledge dissemination in literature at beginning 20th century. A close reading Babits’ light psychoanalytic theories (especially Sigmund Freud’s and Otto Gross’s) psychiatric split personality (developed primarily France, then United States Great Britain) allows shed new on its relationship with modern discourses. In article, is interpreted as a space for creative appropriation reinterpretation nineteenth early-twentieth-century discourses human psyche.
